Movikarma announces groundbreaking Trans Equity Summit

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 10, 2022) – Today, Movikarma, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that fosters diversity, equity and inclusion in Hollywood, is announcing an upcoming Trans Equity Summit to gather national leaders on transgender equity in Health, Culture, Policy, and Law. The virtual Summit will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 10am PT / 1pm ET.

This groundbreaking Summit will bring together renowned experts who will speak on the state of transgender equity in various sectors, the many challenges facing transgender individuals, and practical ways to foster greater equity, inclusion, and representation in society. Moderated by Movikarma’s Founder and President, Jared Milrad, panelists at the event will include Admiral Rachel Levine, M.D., the highest-ranking transgender official in the Biden Administration who serves as the 17th Assistant Secretary for Health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Dr .Jerrica Kirkley, the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of the gender-affirming health app Plume, and Kris Hayashi, Executive Director of the Transgender Law Center.

Rachel L. Levine, MD, Assistant Secretary for Health. “I look forward to discussing the importance of health equity during the Trans Equity Summit.”
